With two decades in the legal field, Matt has counseled companies across a wide range of sectors, including tech, semiconductors, renewable energy, and life sciences. His practice spans corporate and intellectual property law, with a particular emphasis on advising companies on patent and trade secret strategies.
In-House Roles: He has played a key role in multiple growth stories, serving as Corporate Counsel at Sol Systems, LLC, a premier solar energy development firm, and as General Counsel at Nanochon, LLC, a med-tech startup pioneering next-generation cartilage restoration solutions.
Patent Licensing: He successfully managed the licensing and enforcement of patent portfolios across a range of sectors, returning significant revenue to innovators.
Law Firm Experience: Matt began his career at top law firms, first at McDermott, Will & Emery, LLP and later at at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. During this time, he litigated patent and complex IP-related disputes in courts nationwide, as well as at the U.S. International Trade Commission and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Education: Matt holds a J.D. and a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering, both from Penn State.
